METATAILOR x TRIPO:Your Tripo-generated clothes can now actually be worn

We are excited to announce a new partnership between Tripo AI and METATAILOR.
Together, we are connecting Tripo's AI-powered 3D generation capabilities with METATAILOR's real-time, self-adaptive wearable infrastructure, creating a faster and more connected workflow for 3D artists, game developers, virtual fashion creators, and independent studios.
As the first phase of this partnership, we are launching the Beta version of the Tripo x METATAILOR integration. Creators can now send wearable assets from Tripo Studio to METATAILOR through the DCC Bridge, then begin fitting and preparing them for different 3D characters, rigs, and engines.
This Beta gives creators early access to the core workflow while both teams continue refining compatibility, stability, documentation, and the overall experience.
The full Tripo x METATAILOR integration is coming soon.
From Generated 3D Models to Instant-Fit Wearables
Creating a 3D garment or accessory is only the beginning.
Adapting the same wearable to different characters can traditionally require repeated fitting, skinning, rigging, and mesh adjustments. Different body proportions and skeleton structures often add significant technical work to the production process.
The Tripo x METATAILOR partnership brings together two complementary capabilities:
- Tripo helps creators rapidly generate and prepare original 3D wearable assets.
- METATAILOR helps transform those assets into portable wearables that can self-adapt in real time across any character and production environment.
Together, the workflow creates a more direct path from an initial 3D concept to a reusable wearable asset.
What Creators Can Do with the Beta Version
With the Beta integration, creators can:
- Generate clothing, armor, footwear, accessories, and other wearable concepts in Tripo.
- Send selected assets to METATAILOR directly through the Tripo DCC Bridge.
- Reduce repeated exporting and importing between platforms.
- Fit and refine wearables for different character proportions.
- Continue working with the assets in downstream DCC tools and real-time engines.
The Beta also gives creators an early opportunity to explore the combined workflow and help shape the full release through real-world feedback.
How the Beta Workflow Works
- Generate or prepare a wearable in Tripo
Create a wearable asset in Tripo Studio using a text prompt, reference image, sketch, or existing concept. - Open the DCC Bridge
Open the DCC Bridge in Tripo Studio and select METATAILOR. - Send the asset to METATAILOR
Transfer the selected 3D model directly into the METATAILOR workflow. - Fit and refine the wearable
Inside METATAILOR, adapt the asset to a target character, refine its placement and shape, test it across different body proportions, and prepare it for downstream use. - Continue into production
Once the wearable is ready, continue working with it in your preferred 3D tools and real-time production pipeline.
Beta Now, Full Release Coming Soon
The current Beta focuses on validating the core workflow:
Generate in Tripo -> Send through DCC Bridge -> Fit in METATAILOR -> Continue to production
As this is an early Beta rather than the final release:
- Parts of the UX and UI may continue to evolve.
- Asset compatibility may vary depending on the model.
- Documentation and tutorials are still being expanded.
- Workflow stability and performance will continue to improve.
Feedback from the Beta will help both teams refine the integration ahead of the full launch.
The upcoming full release will introduce a more complete experience, including updated UX and UI, expanded documentation, tutorials, and further workflow improvements.
