Real Techniques New Brushes Review

Hey everyone, it's Bailey! Welcome back to the channel. Today, I'll be sharing a detailed review of the new brushes from Real Techniques, specifically focusing on the Foundation Blender Brush and the Face and Body Blender Brush.

Foundation Blender Brush

Let's kick things off with the Foundation Blender Brush, the smaller of the two new brushes. I recently purchased this brush individually for $12.99, but later discovered a set called the Blending Gem Set, which includes this brush, a smaller rounder brush for detailed application, and two brush cleaners for $12.49 - a great value for money.

Brush Design and Function

The Foundation Blender Brush is compact and densely packed, similar in density to the Expert Face Brush from Real Techniques. When compared to my go-to Buffing Brush, I found that the Foundation Blender offers a quicker application but with a slightly sheer coverage. It excels in blending concealer seamlessly, especially in narrow areas like under the eyes and along the nose.

Performance and Ergonomics

While the oval shape of the brush allows for precise application, I did find the small handle a bit challenging to use, leading to hand fatigue during prolonged application. However, the brush's unique design and blending capabilities make it a versatile tool for foundation and concealer application.

Face and Body Blender Brush

Moving on to the Face and Body Blender Brush, which is double the size of the Foundation Blender. While the brush works well for face applications, its larger size and dense bristles make it more suitable for body makeup application.

Utility and Comparison

Although the Face and Body Blender Brush is versatile, I personally use it less frequently for face makeup due to its size. While it offers precision for facial application, I find that other Real Techniques body brushes serve a similar purpose without the need for a separate brush.

In essence, if you already own a body brush from Real Techniques, the Face and Body Blender Brush may not offer a unique advantage. However, its synthetic bristles make it ideal for body products like bronzers and illuminators.

Final Thoughts

To wrap it up, both the Foundation Blender and Face and Body Blender Brushes offer quality performance and versatility in makeup application. While the Foundation Blender excels in precise blending on the face, the larger Face and Body Blender is more suited for body makeup application.

If you're considering purchasing these brushes, weigh your options based on density, utility, and price. And remember, the sets might offer better value for your money. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions or need further clarification!
