The work Manifestation takes the Chinese classical mythological figures of Erlang Shen Yang Jian and his loyal companion Xiaotian Quan (the Howling Celestial Dog) as its creative origin, presenting an innovative sci-fi mecha-style reinterpretation of Eastern mythological IP. Guided by the core creative concept of "Divine Mecha", the design modernizes and reconstructs Erlang Shen's majestic divine power and Xiaotian Quan's loyal courage through the language of future technology: The main mecha adopts a black-and-gold color-blocked armor system. With matte black as the base, it shapes a sharp and robust mecha silhouette. Gilt patterns and energy cores adorn the chest armor, shoulder armor, and joints, echoing the divine majesty of Erlang Shen in mythology while imbuing the mecha with a futuristic technological texture. The golden ornamentation on the helmet replicates the crown features of Erlang Shen; the rhombic energy core on the chest subtly embodies the core imagery of the "Heavenly Eye". The three-pointed double-edged sword in his hand is reimagined as a powerful sci-fi long-handled spear, and the flowing cloak further enhances the aura and recognizability of the God of War. The mechanical Xiaotian Quan beside him restores the loyal and valiant form of the mythical dog through a bionic mecha structure. Its black-and-gold color scheme is highly consistent with the main mecha, and the glowing eyes and joint structures not only retain the recognizability of Xiaotian Quan but also highlight the cooperative combat synergy of the mecha partner. Named Manifestation, the work carries a double implication: Firstly, it pays tribute to Erlang Shen's honorific title "the Manifested Sage Erlang Zhenjun", highlighting the divine radiance of the mythological figure.
